Edward Preston Bullnose Plane 1363



The Edward Preston bullnose plane number 1363 is 3 3/4 inches in length with either
a black japanned finish or a Nickel-plated finish. The black japanned versions were
available in 5/8 inch and 1 1/8 inch widths, the Nickel-plated version was only
available with a width of 1 1/8 inch.
This plane has a tightening screw underneath the lever to give a smooth hold for
the palm of the users hand.
The lever cap has the EP, two cherries, Edward Preston
symbol to indicate who the plane was made by. The original plane blade was marked
with the Edward Preston logo.
This plane was later succeeded by the very similar Record 076 bullnose plane.
Plane Use

The Preston 1363 bullnose plane is used for final trimming and adjustment of joints.
